Executive Agency for Fisheries and Aquaculture

The Fisheries and Aquaculture Executive Agency is organized into a general and specialized administration.

 The general administration is organized in the "Administrative-legal service and human resources" directorate and the "Financial-economic activities and property management" directorate.

The specialized administration ensures the implementation of the main functions of the agency and is organized in the Main Directorate "Fisheries and Control", Directorate "Management of Fisheries and Protection of Fishery Resources".

 General Administration:

• Directorate "Administrative-legal service and human resources";
• Directorate "Financial-Economic Activities and Property Management";

Specialized Administration:

 Directorate "Management of fisheries and conservation of fish resources";

• The General Directorate "Fisheries and Control" has 6 territorial units with the status of departments, as follows:
  1. department "Fisheries and control - Black Sea" with headquarters in Burgas, with territorial scope of the regions of Burgas, Varna and Dobrich;
  2. department "Fisheries and Control - Central Danube" with headquarters in Ruse, with territorial scope of the Veliko OblastTarnovo, Gabrovo, Lovech, Pleven, Razgrad, Ruse, Targovishte, Silistra and Shumen;
  3. department "Fisheries and control - Western Bulgaria" with headquarters in Sofia, with territorial scope of the regions Blagoevgrad, Vidin, Vratsa, Kyustendil, Montana, Pernik, Sofia-city and Sofia;
  4. department "Fisheries and control - South Bulgaria" with headquarters in Plovdiv and territorial scope of the regions Kardjali, Pazardzhik, Plovdiv, Sliven, Smolyan, Stara Zagora, Haskovo and Yambol;
  5. "Fishery Monitoring Center" department with headquarters in Varna and locations for carrying out the activity in the city of Varna and in the city of Burgas;
  6. Department "Structural Funds for Fisheries" with headquarters in Sofia.
